The Essentials

This is my core kit that I use every time I’m crocheting:

  • 3.5mm crochet hook
  • DK Yarn – I use Stylecraft Special Double Knit
  • 3mm safety eyes
  • Darning needle
  • Scissors
  • Stuffing
  • Sturdy pencil – useful for stuffing

Additional Equipment

These are things I’ve acquired on my journey:

  • Odds & ends tin – a place to store wool cutaways, useful when embroidering tiny details
  • Wire – creates a bendable structure to be crocheted around or used as accessories
  • Pliers – to cut said wire
  • Permanent markers – an easy way to colour the wire
  • Acrylic paint – used to colour the safety eyes other shades
  • Blu-tack – holds safety eyes in an easy to paint position
